The Killinkere ladies drew with Butlersbridge in a very entertaining match in the Crover House Adult League this morning. After a strong first half, Killinkere led by two points at half time. A quick Butlersbridge goal and point, immediately after the restart, put the visitors in the ascendancy. Killinkere were doing well to maintain the majority of possession but the Bridge were clinical on the counter-attack, with a third goal giving them more breathing space. However, a penalty save from Killinkere goalkeeper Sophia McLeish kept hopes and alive and with the finish line in sight we really kicked into life. Four points in as many minutes in the closing stages saw us fight back to earn a well-deserved share of the spoils.
