Well done to our men's team on their hard-earned victory away to Butlersbridge in the Wilton Waste Recycling ACFL on Saturday evening. Playing with the aid of the breeze in the first half, Killinkere were very impressive and led 1-5 to 0-4 at the break. The hosts upped the ante in the second half, firing over four points in the first ten minutes to draw the sides level. It was tit for tat throughout the remainder of the game until Conall Mooney stepped up two minutes into injury time to swing over a sumptuous winner. Final score: Butlersbridge 0-11 Killinkere 1-09

On Sunday, our under 20s side drew with Lavey in their first match of the O'Reilly Group U20 league. Having led by six points coming down the home stretch, the lads will be disappointed not to come away with a win but showed plenty of promise for the rest of the campaign.
